Big hugs from big kids….

It’s happened… my babies are no longer babies.  They are big kids… well comparatively speaking.  GG is currently telling her brother to go back to bed… and he is doing his utmost to make her laugh…. which I should go put a damper on… but first let me ponder this moment with you web world.  My kids are of an age where they know right from wrong… and sometimes they choose wrong.  I was not prepared for this world.  I know I should have been… we all “know” we are inherently sinful… but I just didn’t expect it from my chubby babies whom I spent hours praying over in the small hours of the morning; rocking diligently through colic; waiting hours with in hospitals, MD offices and through 3 surgeries…. so what You’re telling me God is they are human?  Little humans separate from my will?  Little beings dashing off to do good or evil as their conscience does or does not lead them?  They are NOT in my control?

This is scary for me as a mom.

I want them to be in my control so I can keep them from the evil lurking out there… seeking to devour them.

I guess I will just have to trust them to God.  He is stronger than me.  Loves them more than me.  He is wiser than me.  And… He’s never sinned … unlike me (the angry, unforgiving, liar that I am).  So here goes God… I trust my big kids to You…. and I am scared because I love them so stinking much.  But I trust You.

And fellow members of the web world out there… please let God use you to keep my kids safe.  Please feel free to snatch them from evil when God allows them to stumble into your pathway.  I need help with these two.
